A little about me…

My second grade teacher inspired me to become a teacher myself at just seven years old. I went on to graduate from San Diego State University as a liberal studies major and acquired a bilingual teaching credential. Once out of school, I taught pre-kindergarten and am now on my fourth year in Kindergarten.

A little bit about me… I grew up on the beach in San Diego and attended local public schools. My parents moved to Hawaii my senior year of high school, making Big Island my home away from home. I am from a huge family, one of ten kids. I am a daughter, step-daughter, sister, and auntie.

What I do when I am not teaching… I am a world traveler. I have lived and traveled five of the worlds continents. I am intrigued by people, culture, and languages

I teach curiosity, pride, empathy, and compassion. Our three classroom expectations are to be safe, friendly, and respectful. We build a close community, where we learn to collaborate  in order to achieve our goals.
